Saturn’s Last Day

Motors Holding Company (ie:  The “Bad” GM) has announced Saturn’s official last day.

It will be October 31, 2010.  That is the last day that retailers can submit warranty claims or get any support whatsoever from Saturn.

Now, this does not mean that your local Saturn retailer will be open that long.  On the contrary, I would expect that most if not all stores will shut down much sooner.  See, there will be no new Saturns.  There will be no 2010 models.  What a retailer has on their lot right now is all they will have.

If retailers have been losing money month in and month out, I can’t imagine they will want to stay open.  They will find homes for their remaining inventory (both new cars and parts) and call it quits.

I will keep updating as I get more information.
